Live from Legal IT 3.0
Thursday, April 23rd, 2009
Earlier this week I was in Montreal for the third annual Legal IT law and technology conference, speaking about building a web presence for lawyers with fellow panelists Steve Matthews of Stem Legal and Kevin O’Keefe of LexBlog.
It was a pleasure speaking with them–only my second time meeting Steve in person despite our close working relationship, and my first time meeting Kevin after talking back and forth with him online for a few years. Our presentation style was informal, where we talked casually, answered questions, and showed examples of helpful networking websites such as LinkedIn, Twitter and various blogs. The audience members I spoke with seemed to quite enjoy it.
I was interviewed by Lisa Kennelly of LexBlog about the conference. See the interview over at the LexConference blog - Live from Legal IT 3.0: Connie Crosby of Crosby Group Consulting. An excerpt from the interview:
Lisa Kennelly: What were your overall impressions of the conference?
Connie Crosby: It was my first time attending, and I was only there for part of day one, but I found it extremely informative. I took lots of notes at the sessions I did attend. In some ways it was a wake-up call for me and others that it is time to really practice what we preach and really start using the electronic tools at our disposal.
While there, I also live-blogged a couple of sessions over at my personal blog http://conniecrosby.blogspot.com:
Congratulations to Dominic Jaar, Xavier Beauchamp-Tremblay and the other conference organizers on an excellent conference.
